When you set up an item with units of measure to sell by box and piece, are you able to set up a different selling price for each UOM?

Units of measure pricing

Hello there, amontford.

Let's use the Price rules option so you can set up a different selling price for each item with units of measure. I'll show you how.

First, make sure you're subscribed to the Advanced Pricing feature so QuickBooks can automatically change the price on sales forms according to the rules you create.

Next is to activate Advanced Pricing. Kindly refer to the steps below:

  1. Go to the Edit menu, then select Preferences.
  2. Select Sales & Customers, then go to the Company Preferences tab.
  3. In the Custom Pricing section, select Enable Advanced Pricing.
  4. Select OK.

Then, let's create a price rule and set conditions for your items. Here's how:

  1. Go top the Lists menu, then select Price Rule List.
  2. Select the Price Rule drop-down button, then select New.
  3. Enter a name for the price rule in the Price Rule Name field.
  4. Create conditions by clicking the Plus icon.
  5. Set the date range in the From and To dates.
  6. Set the price
  7. Select the Exclusive Rule checkbox to make the price exclusive.
  8. Click the Price Overrides button to set the custom price for particular items.
  9. Select OK.

Once you're ready, you can create an invoice and select the price rule by clicking the Square icon under the Rate field.

If you wish to edit, delete, and inactivate a price rule, here's an article that'll guide you how: Use Advanced Pricing.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. I'm just around to give you a hand.
