unrecoverable error 00000 00000 when closing company file

Hello there, @tysnweiss.

Unrecoverable errors are usually caused by various reasons, such as the incomplete installation of an update (QuickBooks or Windows), data damage, or computer issues.

Let's do some troubleshooting steps to fix the error, so you'll be able to keep your QuickBooks working. Before performing the steps, make sure to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release and create a backup of your company file.

Then, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Choose your company file from the No Company Open window.
  2. Press and hold the Alt key, then click Open.
  3. If you're prompted for your log in information, release the Alt key, then enter your user name and password. If not, don't release the Alt key.
  4. Press and hold the Alt key, then click OK. Do not release the Alt key until your file is completely open.

For further steps, check out this article: Fix unrecoverable error and proceed to the steps in opening a sample file.
