I am using QB 2016 on my Mac. I do not use the online features.  Should I upgrade?

My initial setup was not done correctly so reports are not accurate. I would like to be able to track job expenses etc. Is there a way to correct the entries, and if so is there a video tutorial ?

As long as you don't need any online service (e.g Payroll, Web Connector), you may keep using QBD 2016 for good. Visit the following site for your reference as a rookie.

Let's get take your concerns one at a time, OBTEAA.

QuickBooks Mac 2016 is one of the discontinued versions. Hence, you no longer have an access to online features. You can browse this link to know more about the discontinuation policy: QuickBooks Desktop Service Discontinuation Policy and Upgrade Information.

If you're in need to use online features within the program, I'd recommend upgrading to the latest version. You can download the latest version through this link: Downloads & Updates.

Related links to install and active the program are also included in the Downloads & Updates link.

Once you've installed and activated the program, you can already restore your company file.

On the other hand, you mentioned that the setup was not done correctly and your data is not accurate. What specific data and setup are you referring to? Additional details about this would be much appreciated.

To know more about tracking job expenses, you can browse this article: Tracking job costs in QuickBooks Desktop.

Before we can correct the entries, we need specific information of what is happening. This would give us a clearer view of the situation and how we can get through it. Also, we might be able to find video tutorials on how to correct those entries.
