Use QBO Advanced to copy from Intuit-based "business" to TechSoup based business

Revisiting a question from Dec 2020.

My non-profit group has a QBO Advanced  subscription for our accounting. I'll call this the: Intuit-based Business

We would like to take advantage of the non-profit Subscription pricing for QBO Advanced offered by TechSoup.  I'll call this the: TechSoup-based Business

I would like to use the QBO Advanced backup and restore functionality to copy the Intuit-based business to the TechSoup based business.

In December, I was able to use this functionality to copy an Intuit-based company to a new Intuit-based company but I could not copy to the TechSoup-based business

When I asked about the copy I wanted to do, I  was informed by FritzF (Moderator) "Creating a copy of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced company can only be done using the same installation. The option to move it to a new installation/password is currently unavailable."

At the time it appeared that the copy functionality could only be used when businesses are accessible via a single sign-on.  There was not a way to single sign-on to Intuit-based business and the TechSoup based business.

- Is there now a way to single sign-on to an Intuit-based business and a TechSoup-based business?

Or

Has the functionality of copying to a business that is not available via single sign-on been implemented?

Or,

Should I just stay with the Intuit-based QBO Advanced subscription?

Use QBO Advanced to copy from Intuit-based "business" to TechSoup based business

It's good to see you here again, @davidm4. Our goal is to make QuickBooks as user-friendly as possible.

I can see how it would be beneficial to you and your business to have the functionality of copying to a business via single sign-on. Currently, the option we have is to stay with the Intuit-based QBO Advanced subscription.

Also, you can look for third-party applications to use QBO Advanced to copy from Intuit-based business to TechSoup-based business.

Follow these steps to route you to QuickBooks Apps:

  1. Go to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/.
  2. Select your region
  3. Search for an app that may suit your business needs.

Use QBO Advanced to copy from Intuit-based "business" to TechSoup based business

@davidm4

If you are eligible to get it from TechSoup, you should take it. Then you may have 2 options:

1. Utilize a migration tool

https:// transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo

2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service.

David - I just came into the exact same situation. I was wondering if you were able to resolve this?

Paying for the Transaction Pro would negate the savings for a Non-profit like us to use TechSoup.
