User Management

I created a new company as Admin with an Admin username and password.  I now need to create myself as a separate user with a different username and password - but the same email address.  The error is that there is already a user with that email address.  I am using QB Enterprise Desktop.  Could you please help me with this?

Welcome to the Community, GPharris.

 

Currently, only one email address can be linked with each Intuit account user profile. There's another option where you can create users without using email addresses. This may come in handy for what you're trying to accomplish.

 

Here's how to create a user with no email attached to their profile:
 

  1. In your top menu bar, go to Company, then Users.
  2. Click Set Up Users and Roles.
  3. Enter the admin password and hit OK.
  4. Access your User List tab, then press New.
  5. Enter a user name and an optional password.
  6. In the Available Roles section, specify this user's roles.
  7. Select Add, then OK.
