I am using QuickBooks Desktop. We breakdown some of our vendor invoices by percentage for different divisions within our company. An example would be a bill from an advertising company. We will breakdown the invoice amount and allocate it to each division.
Let's say the invoice is for $100.00
Div1 Commercial will get 45% $45.00
Div2 Residential will get 5% $5.00
Div3 Controls will get 25% $25.00
Div4 Service will get 25% $25.00
Is there a way to set it up when I enter a bill for a specific vendor that it will auto fill the set percentages when I enter the bill amount? Right now I'm having to do this in Excel.
