Join nowHello,
I use Quickbooks Desktop 2021 for MAC.
When I run FILE->UTILITIES->VERIFY DATA
I get an error saying
"*** Verify Date Detected Errors *** your data has failed the integrity check. To repair the data use Rebuild Data in File > Utilities."
I ran Rebuild Data in File > Utilities, but when I run VERIFY DATA again, I get the same error.
How can I fix this?
Thank you!
Hi there, @billhdz. I appreciate the steps you've taken to get this issue resolved.
Since the issue persists, I recommend performing some basic troubleshooting. But before doing so, let's ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac is updated to the latest release. It helps improve the performance of the software and fixes common and complicated errors automatically.
After that, let's try and locate your QBWin.log to help determine the cause of the error. You can check out this article and continue performing the steps for additional data damage: Resolve data damage on your company file.
Please let me know how things go on your end. I want to ensure this gets resolved for you. Take care.
Thank you @MirriamM
I am using Quickbooks Desktop MAC 2021 version V20.0.7 R8.1
I can't find a file called "QBWin.log", but I have a log file from my MAC computer called "Quickbooks.log" This is a file from today. Is this the one? Do you want me to ZIP it and upload it here?
Thank you @MirriamM

There are some more things with earlier dates on the log, but the bottom reads like the above comment.
If you need to look at the entire log file, let me know if you need me to upload it here.
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the quick response and for providing your QuickBooks version, @billhdz.
I'll share some details about log files in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Yes, QuickBooks.log and QBWin.log are the same. In Windows, the file is called QBWin.log, while for Mac, it is called QuickBooks.log. That said, zip it and upload the data from there. Verify the cause of the error and follow the onscreen instructions.
You can run QuickBooks File Doctor as well. This tool may solve some corporate file problems too in QuickBooks Desktop. For more details, see this link: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.

The "QuickBooks File Doctor" on your comments seems to be a fix for the windows version. It's an .exe file that cannot be run on the Mac.
Thanks for following this thread, @billhdz. Currently, the file doctor tool only works for Windows users.
In your case, I'd suggest rebuilding your data in QuickBooks for Mac to scan your company files for damaged data.

Thanks for the reply. I talked to Intuit support yesterday and the error does not mean that my Quickbooks file is corrupted, even though the wording makes it sound like it is. We did some troubleshooting and it turns out that there is a discrepancy on my inventory quantities that I need to address and fix or adjust.
