We couldn’t delete the transaction. Please try again.

Hi there, @byron2.

 

I'd be happy to help you delete a transaction. I'd like to know what transaction are you trying to delete so that I can give you a specific resolution.

 

For now, here are the resolutions you may assess that may help you delete a transaction:

 

  • Error when deleting a Receive payment transaction that is linked to a deposit. To completely delete it, go to the register of the account where the invoice payment is added, locate the deposit and delete it. This is done to delete the Receive payment transaction.
  • If reconciled, unlink the reconciled transaction and delete it.
  • However, if it's there's an odd behavior to the program, use an incognito browser and try to delete the transaction. If you've successfully deleted it, go back to the regular browser, and clear the cache. This is done to avoid getting any data issues on your next transactions in QuickBooks Online.
