What role should I give someone who will be matching deposits?

You can assign either Standard all access or In-house accountant roles to your user who will be matching deposits to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, officemanager5. I'll discuss this further.

The only difference between the two is that in the In-house accountant role, they cannot access payroll or perform administrative tasks like managing users.

For detailed information, check out this article: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite.

If you want to view the activities performed by your users, you can keep track of their actions in the Audit log. This log will show you who made changes to your books and what those changes were.

Moreover, did you know that the QBO Advanced plan offers custom roles? Consider upgrading to QBO Advanced so you can seamlessly create and manage custom roles for a user with specific positions.

I'll be around if you need further assistance with managing roles. Just visit this forum anytime, and I'm here to help ensure everything runs smoothly for you.
