When I am logged in to QuickBooks for more than an hour, I have to close QB and restart due to numerous error messages. This just started 2 weeks ago.

Also, when I am in the app, I can no longer open more than one tab. In the past I could have multiple tabs open. Now it shuts down QB when I attempt open a second tab. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that has not fixed the issues I am having. If I am logged into to QB for more than 1 hour and I am working on something else and come back to QB it will not function properly. I get numerous error messages and my only recourse is to close out of QB and open it back up again and hope that it works. I have not had such a negative experience with QB in the 3 years I have used it. These past 2 weeks have been riddled with more and more error messages. This is extremely unproductive!

If you have tried accessing QBO in a web browser, I'd recommend using an incognito window. This type of window doesn’t store any cache that causes a browser to load slowly or experiencing unusual behavior. Here are the shortcut keys you can use depending on the browser:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

If your book is working well without error messages, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache to prevent any unexpected behavior. Also, you can use other compatible browsers in QBO. One more thing, I'd like to know the exact error you've seen. This way, we'll be able to figure out and provide you with the right resolution.
