When I first started using QB I was told to enter my company account for all deposits. With the online- does it matter if I leave it blank? Use my account?

Or do I need to enter WHO is giving me the deposit?

If you'd like to connect your bank to QBO you only need to use your login credentials and not your account numbers. You can refer to this article for more details on how to add and connect bank and credit card accounts

 

When entering bank deposits you'll need to enter the account where you got the funds. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. At the upper-right corner, click the plus icon. 
  2. Under the Other column, select Bank Deposit
  3. On the Add funds to this deposit section?, enter where you received the deposit from, the account where it would apply and other necessary fields. 
  4. Then Save and close
