Hi @Jamie_artist , the alternative is download the invoice from your QBSE, then send it manually with your email. Some times it's caused by browser engine, so your client could open in other browser engine. Let you sent other comment for assistance . Cheers.

Hello there, @Jamie_artist.

I'd be happy to help you so that your client can open the PDF file in the invoice you've sent. Allow me to share some details about this issue.

In addition to the answer mentioned by @gayatriluthfias20, there are also other ways that can help your client open the PDF file. You can check out the table below for your reference.

                                    CAUSE                                     SOLUTION
  • There's no installed PDF reader on the desktop.
  • There will be a pop-up message when there's no installed PDF reader. They'll just need to install one which can be purchased online.
  • The PDF reader isn't updated.
  • Go to the PDF reader application and update it. There's an Update tool somewhere in the app.
  • Browser's data need to be cleared.
  • You can let your client clear the cache in their browser before downloading or opening the PDF in the invoice.
  • PDF is unrecognizable.
  • In some circumstances, the file extension Microsoft Windows uses to identify the file as a PDF may be removed when it is sent through e-mail. If the file does not end in .pdf, Microsoft Windows will not know how to open this file.
    1. Save the PDF to the computer's desktop.
    2. Open your PDF reader through the Start menu.
    3. Drag the saved PDF from the computer desktop to the reader. If the file is valid, it will open automatically.

Furthermore, I've added this article to help your manage your data in QuickBooks Self-Employed when using Turbo Tax: How do I send my QuickBooks Self-Employed tax information to TurboTax? This includes other sub-topic about Self- Employed taxes.

I'll be here if you have other questions or concerns. Simply drop a comment to let me know. I'd be happy to lend a helping hand. Stay safe out there.
