Why are checks are printing too low on preprinted checks?

I'll make sure you can print the checks with the proper alignments, larry-k-groff-gm.

QuickBooks will rely on your browser's printer settings. That's the possible reason why your check printed too low. I have troubleshooting steps to help align your client checks in QuickBooks Online. This way, you can print them without delay.

To fix the alignment, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Expenses tab and open a check.
  2. Click Print checks on the bottom part and pick a check type.
  • Voucher - have one check per page and include stubs.
  • Standard - have three checks per page.

       3. Click No, and continue setup at the bottom of the page.

      4. On the Fine-tune alignment page, drag the grid to the section where it appears on your printout. That lets QuickBooks figure out how to adjust the alignment.

      5. Hit View preview and print sample to verify if the line is accurate.

      6. Select the Finish Setup button when your sample’s alignment looks correct.

      7. If things are aligned correctly, click Preview and print to obtain a copy of the contractor checks.

If the sample print is still off, follow Step 4 in this article for another troubleshooting: Configure your print settings for printing checks in QuickBooks Online
