Hello @AMCDONALD06,

Welcome to the Community. I'm here to share some details about your concern related to the old transactions and liability payments.

This problem usually happens when there are data issues within the company file. You can perform some basic troubleshooting to isolate and resolve them.

Before we start, please make sure your QuickBooks is updated to the latest release. By doing so, we'll be able to ensure the latest features and updates are installed.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help tab at the top menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Go to the Update Now tab.
  3. Put a checkmark on the updates you want to include.
  4. Add a checkmark on the box beside Reset Update.
  5. Hit Get Updates to start the download. Download and install automatic QuickBooks Desktop updates
  6. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks.

After the update, you can proceed with using the Verify Data and Rebuild Data tools. These features in QuickBooks self-identifies the most commonly known data issues and self-resolve them on your behalf.

To run Verify data:

  1. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Hover your cursor to Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data.

Once done, please run Rebuild data:

  1. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Hover your cursor to Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.

I've also attached an article you can use as a guide to download the QuickBooks Tool Hub and resolve problems in QuickBooks: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.

Drop me a comment below if you need more help fixing unusual behaviors in the product. I'll be happy to help you some more.

Thank you for getting back to us, AMCDONALD06.

Let's find out why a bill pay stub suddenly appears on your company file. There's a possibility that an old file was restored.

You need to make sure you're using the latest QuickBooks file. If you've created a backup copy of the latest file, you can restore it to go back to one of your save points if you ever run into problems.

If not, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Live Support Team so they can check the changes made to your account. Here's how to contact them:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.

I'm adding this link for an additional troubleshooting solution: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Keep me posted if you need anything else about old transactions that appears on your file. I'm always right here to provide the information that you need.
