Why is it not letting me see deductions? When I go to the deductions tab it says there is an error. I’m also unable to add my bank account.

Welcome to the Community, Areram866. Could you provide details about the error you're facing when viewing your deductions? A screenshot would be helpful. The sooner we identify the issue, the quicker we can resolve it for you.

In the meantime, let’s perform some troubleshooting steps to check if this is a browser-related issue. Please log into your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This mode prevents cache or cookies from interfering, providing a cleaner environment for access.

Here are the shortcut keys to open a private/incognito window:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If this resolves the issue, return to your regular browser and clear your cache to refresh any outdated preferences affecting the program’s functionality. Alternatively, ensure you are using the latest version of your browser to avoid compatibility issues and security vulnerabilities.

When linking your bank account to QuickBooks, you may encounter issues such as incorrect login details, unsupported banks, or incorrect URLs. To resolve this, verify your credentials, ensure your bank is compatible with QuickBooks, and use the correct bank URL.

Follow these steps to add your bank account to QuickBooks:

  1. Hover over the Transactions tab.
  2. In the New transactions dropdown, select Link account.
  3. In the search tab, enter the name of your bank.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Additionally, check with your bank for any notifications about maintenance, as this could temporarily prevent the connection.

Once your bank account is linked, I recommend downloading and categorizing your transactions regularly to maintain accurate and balanced records.
