Why is my snap receipts button not showing in my mobile app?

I am trying to upload receipts through my Quickbooks Online mobile app, however there is NO option to upload receipts. The only thing I can do is review receipts I've uploaded from my desktop.

Before we begin troubleshooting, could you let me know if you are using an iOS or Android device? Please also ensure that your device is updated to the latest version available in your app store.

 

Once I have that information, we can refresh the app's data to ensure QuickBooks functions properly. This process will eliminate any potential issues and help the app run smoothly.

 

Here are the steps to follow:

 

If you are using iOS:

 

  1. Open your device’s Settings and tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage and locate the QBO app.
  3. Tap Offload App to free up storage and refresh the app's functionality.

 

If you are using Android:

 

  1. Open the Settings on your Android device and select Apps.
  2. Find and select the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage & Cache, then choose Clear Data or Clear Storage.
  4. Confirm the action if prompted.

 

If the issue persists, you can uninstall the app to completely refresh its data and then reinstall it to start with a clean setup.

 

As a workaround, you can access QuickBooks Online through a web browser on your mobile device to upload receipts.
