Working with a medical management system - Athenanet

Does anyone work with Athenanet? I'm looking for guidance about how coordinate information between Athenanet and Quickbooks. I need to keep track of income by procedure code and have an accurate accounts receivable amount per reporting period.

Thanks for joining us here in the Community, @GKB.

I'd like to ensure that you'll be able to get the guidance that you need with integrating Athenanet and QuickBooks Desktop.

To help verify how you can keep track of your transactions by syncing these two programs, I recommend contacting the Athenanet. They'll be able to discuss with you on how this service integrates with QBDT.

I'm also adding here some resources about the accounts receivable workflow and a help article on how to navigate QuickBooks Desktop:

Thanks for your quick reply. It's actually on the Athenanet end of things I need help with. After multiple support conversation with Athenanet we're still not getting satisfactory answers about how they are handling and reporting the insurance and credit card payments. They don't itemize batches, they just collect all the money from the insurance company and credit card processors and drop it into our bank account at regular intervals. They do not provide an itemized report on which payments are in which deposit. Even more complicated is the deposit reports on Athenanet don't match our bank statements. The report we need may exist, but we haven't been able to find it. We're a nonprofit and have restricted funds, so we need to be able to categorize income according procedure code and program. We also  give monthly balance sheet reports to the Board, so need an accurate accounts receivable amount. I reached out here in case someone who has experience with both systems might be able to give some advice on how procedures need to be set up to accurately account for the income coming through Athenanet.
