A bank transfer from your customer has been canceled due to a problem with their account.

Hello, mmidyette. I understand that having additional details about the customer linked to the specific canceled payment transaction upon notification will help you identify them quickly. Allow me to shed some light on this matter.

The alert "A bank transfer from your customer has been canceled due to a problem with their account" means there was an issue with your customer's bank account linked to the payment transfer. As a result, the transaction was unsuccessful.

To locate the transaction and find the associated customer, I suggest logging into your merchant account. You can follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. From the Activity & Reports menu, select Transactions.
  3. If needed, you can click the Dates dropdown menu to change it, then tap the Search button.
  4. Once you find the transaction, you'll see their status. You can click it to see more details.

You can consider contacting our Payments experts for additional information.

I acknowledge the importance of quickly identifying customer-canceled transactions without logging into your merchant account. As such, I recommend sharing your feedback with our product engineers. They will carefully evaluate your suggestions and work towards incorporating them into our product roadmap.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QBO account. Head over to the Gear icon.
  2. Type in your valuable suggestions and recommendations.
  3. Hit Next to submit.

We greatly appreciate your suggestion, as it helps us to continuously enhance our products and services to better cater to your needs.

For additional reference, you can check the deposit speed for your product to learn when QuickBooks Payments deposits your customer's payments.

Always know that we take your feedback seriously and are committed to ensuring that our product meets the needs of our valued customers like you. Logging into the Merchant Service Center will guarantee you get all the details on the canceled payment transaction.

A bank transfer from your customer has been canceled due to a problem with their account.

I am getting the same error. In accessing the Merchant Services Center, is it a different account than the QB Intuit Online?

A bank transfer from your customer has been canceled due to a problem with their account.

Hello there, Jajageronimo2507.

QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payments are two distinct accounts that can be linked together. You can access payment accounts by visiting the merchant page or by accessing them inside QuickBooks if they are linked.

If your Merchant Services Center account is linked to your QuickBooks Online, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Gear Icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Click the Account and Settings.
  3. Select Payment.
  4. Click the Manage Account.

After you click the Manage Account, you’ll be taken to the Merchant Service Center page, where you’ll be automatically logged in. From there, you can go to the “Activity & Reports” section to search for specific transactions that need tracking.

Rest assured, you can rely on the following information. You can verify the deposit speed for your product to determine exactly when QuickBooks Payments will deposit your customer's payments.

If you have any additional questions about logging into your Merchant Services, leave a comment below. Take care!
