Join nowWhen I receive payments they go to the Undeposited Funds account until they are deposited. Is there a way to have the Undeposited Accounts total appear in the home page Account Window that shows all the other "real" bank accounts, Accounts, Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc.?
Hi there, dillopkd.
You have me to help you record payments without going to the Undeposited Funds account.
On your QuickBooks file, you can configure the applied settings as to how you want to receive payments. Let me guide you how;
Once you moved the transactions from the Undeposited Funds account to their actual bank accounts, they will reflect on your Chart of Accounts page.
I've also added this article on how to review your accounts to make sure they match your real-life bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.

We're unable to customize it to add the Undeposited Funds account. Though, I do have an option for you to see the balances easily when viewing the Homepage screen.
You'll want to switch your view and set your icon bar to the left part of your screen. Simply click the View menu, then select Left Icon Bar.
Simply click on the View Balances link at the left panel, and check the Undeposited Funds account balance.
If you don't have it on your list, add it by customizing the view. Here's how:
If you need to reconcile your payments and expenses with your bank accounts, you can check this article for a guide: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you'd like to set other preferences in QuickBooks Desktop or if you need help with other processes, please let me know the details below. I'll hop on to this thread again to help you out.
