Can anyone please tell me how to enter an advance payment from a customer, before you are ready to actually invoice them?

Can anyone help me figure this out...
We invoice customers and they need to pay off the entire amount of the invoice 1 month before the service is provided. Does quickbooks online invoicing feature allow customers to make partial payments on their invoice online? How would I do this?
I'd want this to be taken care of as well, AngieVancouver.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) allows your customer to make partial payments on their invoice.
Once your customer receives the invoice, they can enter the partial amount after hitting the Pay Now button.
Here's an article that'll guide you through on how to let my customer pay their invoice online.
There you have it. If you have more questions about advance payments in QBO, just let me know. I'll be sure to continue helping in anyway that I can.
However, there isn't a way for customers to make partial payments on their invoice.
I thought customer can type in whatever amount they want to pay
Hello there, @Malcolm Ziman.
Yes, you're right. Aside from creating a partial payment to an invoice in your QuickBooks Online, your customers can also make partial payments to their invoice through the link of the invoice emailed to them.

Yes, you're right. We can create a partial payment to an invoice if the customer manually records the payment in QuickBooks Online.
What do you mean by "customer"?
Thanks for getting back, @Malcolm Ziman.
