Yes, atomicservice, you should still be able to create and save an invoice in the QuickBooks Online mobile app without receiving a payment.
This is a core function of the app, and the ability to save an invoice and email it to a customer for payment at a later time should still be available, as shown in the image below.

If the option to save or email an invoice isn't appearing for you, it could be due to a temporary glitch or a data sync issue with the app itself.
To fix this, let's clear the app data of your mobile device to reset it to its default state. This process serves the same purpose as clearing the cache in your web browser.
If you're using iOS, follow the steps below:
- Go to Settings, then tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage, then select the QuickBooks Online app.
- Tap Offload App. It will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.
Otherwise, refer to this instruction for Android:
- Go to Menu, then select More Options.
- Tap Settings, and click Refresh Data.
- Tap YES to confirm.
Once refreshed, restart your device and log back into your QuickBooks app account to see if you can save your invoice without receiving the payment. If you encounter the same result, uninstall and reinstall the mobile app to ensure you get the latest version and fixes.
