Re: card update and file transfer

You've came to the right place, @abe gandl.

Let me guide you in updating your subscription's payment method and transferring your company file.

You can update your payment method on file via the Customer Account Management Portal Site (CAMPS). To access CAMPS, you can log in to Manage your QuickBooks web page and select the QuickBooks Desktop product tile.

Here's how:

  1. Go to: https://camps.intuit.com/.
  2. Enter your Intuit login credentials.
  3. Go to the Payment Methods section.
  4. Select a payment method to view or edit its details.
  5. Update the payment method information.
  6. When you have made your changes, select Save and Close

On the other hand, moving your company file from one location to another will not take you at most 24 hrs. During the process, yes can't use your books.

You need not to worry though, there's an easy and faster way to do it.  Just make sure to create a back up the old company file then restore it to the new computer. This way, your file is protected from accidental data loss.

  1. Create a back up of your file:
  2. Copy the backup file to your new location:
    • using a flash drive or other external device; or
    • through a network, if the computers are connected.
  3. Restore the backup on your new computer.

However, if you're referring to transferring the ownership of the company to new owners, it will take 24-48 hrs for the approval. Yes, as long as you have the access to your QuickBooks you can still work with it.

Keep me posted if you have other questions. I'm always here to help.
