Do you get charged a Chargeback Fee if you do not dispute the chargeback?
Good day, NeOasisInteriors.
The chargeback fee is a processing fee for handling the issue on your behalf. You'll only get charged once you work with us to dispute the customer's claim. For more information, check this article: Chargebacks for QuickBooks Online.
You can also contact our QuickBooks Online Payment support to know more about the chargeback fee.

We noticed the $25 fee charged immediately before we even had a chance to respond to the email we received from QuickBooks notifying us of the chargeback.
When I called the merchant dept. today, I was told the fee happens automatically even if we choose not to dispute it.
We are getting contradicting info here...
An automatic debit follows when the chargeback is initiated by the card issuing bank and sent to Intuit. This debit is passed to the merchant as long as the card holder or issuer has met all of the association requirements.
The fee is applied to all chargebacks received regardless of the outcome of the case. This covers the administrative costs associated to the process.
Intuit represents you, the merchant, and our goal is to help you resolve these disputes. However, all remedies must be in compliance with the Card Association rules and regulations.

Another way of QuickBooks to make money if it’s own customer base.
Thank you for the feedback. My concern is it's a charge for $33 dollars that was disputed. I do not want to pay $25 to get the $33 back if it is not a guarantee. I would rather let this one go if I don't have to pay the $25.
