Check alignment

Checks for payment align on my desktop in QBO, but do not align when printing from my laptop.  I use the chrome browser on both.  How do I get the checks to print properly from both?

I'd be happy to assist you today, @annejhalper1.

I appreciate your effort in performing some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. Allow me to help you further to get your printing alignment back to normal.

An outdated Adobe version can lead to a problem when printing in QuickBooks Online. You can check this article for more information about Downloading Acrobat Reader.

Once you have the most current version, let's go to your QuickBooks Online company and follow the steps found in this article to set your alignment: Set up alignment to print checks (or checks).

You'll be back to business in no time. Please know I'm only a post away if you have any other questions. Have a good one.

Hi there,WAVEND.

Allow me to help you further about printing alignment.

You can try to double-check your alignment set up to verify if it is correct.

Set up printing preference

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Payroll Settings.
  2. In the Preferences section, select Paycheck Printing.
  3. Select Preprinted QuickBooks-compatible voucher check stock.
  4. Select Print 1 stub or Print 2 stubs, then OK.

Set up check alignment

  1. Select Open Alignment Window, then print the sample check.
  2. Follow the instructions, then close the window.
  3. Select Align Checks, then print the PDF file.
  4. Follow the instructions, then enter the letter and number that fits best.
  5. Select Update Settings, then OK.

For more details about these steps, please refer to this article: Configure your print settings for printing checks.

Feel free to let me know how it goes. I'm here to help if you need clarification with the process. Have a great day.
