Check Expense Details

I have a client that records payroll expenses on a regular check (they use a 3rd party payroll company) and when they have an Employee Advance, I cannot add the employee to the line item, it only allows "Customer:Job". Does anyone know of a setting where it will let me add a column for employees, etc.? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Adding Employee's name in line item is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop. Though alternatively, you can use the Memo filed to input the Customer name.  
I understand the importance of this feature in your business. For sure some customers would also want to add this line item in the check. Rest assured, our product developers team is working hard to add new features to the best of interest of our customers.
