QBO needs to be able to print memos on the checks and stubs from Bill Pay. This function is and was available from QB Desktop. I was told to move to QBO for the functionality and online access. It turns out this is not true. Reporting functions are severely lacking, and customization is ridiculous. The memo functions for checks was a convenience before and was actually something to be expected from a business software as a natural component. Now with the PPP and EIDL requirements for reporting to the SBA and Banks. This has become critical for proof of payments via checks. The work around recommended by QB is a slap in the face from a Company as large as Intuit to say our accountants, payroll personell, and AP clerks have to revert to single check preparation and printing. If it works on single checks it should work on Bill Pay Checks period and ther is no reasonable explanation as to why it shouldn't be. I would certainly hope this recommendation is pushed to the top of needed fixes and I am certain more small businesses feel the same.
