Couple questions about cc charges and bills

Is it possible to pair multiple credit card charges with a PO that includes more than one CC transaction?

If a PO is already paired to a bill and so "split", should I not enter a credit card charge afterwards when reconciling if that is how it was paid?

In attempting to reconcile my cc statement and "match" transactions, I'm not sure if I can have a bill and a cc charge for a PO and keep everything reconciled.

Re: Couple questions about cc charges and bills

Hello there, AlchemySoundandVision.

Let me help clear things up about how credit card charges and bills works in QuickBooks Desktop.

In QuickBooks Desktop, you can only pair a Credit Card (CC) Charge with multiple Purchase Orders (PO). However, there isn't a way to pair multiple CC Charges with a PO that includes more than one CC transaction.

In case you need to know more about paying credit card charges: Set up, use, and pay credit card accounts.

On the other note, if a PO is already paired to a bill, you don't need to enter a CC Charge.

Also, always make sure to follow the transaction type showing on your bank statement when reconciling your account.

Let me if you have further questions about this. I'm always glad to help.
