You'll now have to connect your payment account to QuickBooks, Morenosair.

I can show you how:

  1. Click the Customers menu.
  2. Go to Link Payment Service to Company File.
  3. The Payments Login window will appear, enter your Email/user ID and Password you created when signing up.
  4. Choose Link Service, then click Transfer.
  5. Once prompted, click Yes, transfer.

Feel free to post anytime if you have other concerns. Have a nice one!

Create and manage your Payments user ID

Is a intuit account required now for all users??  Even if they do not process payments from clients??  All of our users are getting a pop up even those who do not process payments.  I set up a intuit account for myself as I am the only person who processes payments.

Create and manage your Payments user ID

Hi there, RGreenwoodSheetMetal.

Thanks for reaching out to us here in the Community. I’m here to clarify about the Intuit Account pop-up that your users are seeing when accessing the company.

Yes, QBO users are now required to create an Intuit Account even if they don’t have access to your merchant services. This feature allows customers to access multiple Intuit websites and applications such as and QuickBooks Payroll.

The administrator has control as to what type of access the users can perform. To create an Intuit Account, click on this link.

  1. Go to
  2. Below the Sign In button, select Create an account.
  3. On the signup page, enter your email address and phone.
Note: If you see "This user ID is already taken" under your email address, it means an existing account already uses the email. You can choose to sign in or recover your account.
  4. Create your account password and then confirm.
  5. Choose Create Account.

To keep your account secure, check your email inbox. We’ll send you a link to verify your email address.

Once done, go to and log in to your new account. For more insights about managing your online account, check out this article: Intuit Account.

That should answer your concern for today.  If you have any other concerns or follow-up questions, reach out to me by mentioning my name. I’m always around to assist you further. Have a good one.
