Credit Balance from 2020

Hi,  A client's customer wants to apply a credit balance from 2020 to a 2021 invoice.  When I tried to do complete the task I received the below message.   Is there a way to apply this 2020 credit balance to the 2021 invoice?

Unexpected problem : -30006

I've got you covered, ATOZOOK.

 

 This error message could be a browser-related issue. The stored cache can affect the performance of QuickBooks Online which can cause unexpected behavior.

 

To begin, I'd suggest logging in to your QuickBooks Online account via a private window. This doesn't use the existing cache files, which makes it a good place to determine if there's an issue with the browser. 

 

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N 
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P 

 

Once signed in, apply the credit balance to the invoice. If you're able to do so, let's clear the cache of your browser. This helps remove its stored cache so QuickBooks will perform efficiently.

 

 

If it doesn't work, I'd recommend using different browsers. They'll provide you the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks. 

 

In case none of these works, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team to further investigate the main cause of this error.

  1. Click the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your issue or question on the Type something field, then click the send icon.
  4. Choose I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select the Chat with us or Have us call you option.

 

In case you'll need to track all the invoices that are due on a particular day, we can customize your Transaction Detail By Account report.
