Join nowQB payments can charge a credit card processing fee so why can't that fee be charged to the customer (where it's legal, of course) instead?
Hi there, AlarmCompany.
In QuickBooks Payments, credit card processing fees are paid by business owners, not customers. And, the system charges a fee each time you process a transaction.
Also, charging a customer, there are some states that prohibit this process on credit card transactions. You can check with your state first about this.
You may need to use other third-party apps that can add fees to customers. You can visit our QuickBooks App Center to find another payment processor.
Once you're in, just click the profile of each payment processing app to know what are their key benefits and how they work with QBO.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with about charging a customer for the credit card transaction. I'll be right here whenever you need additional information about it.
Are you running a B2B or B2C company? You should explore a 3rd party payment processor to do so.
