Customer Job Field

When entering a bill with several line items, is there a way to select the customer job to be applied to every line rather than having to type the name in the customer job field over and over again?

Hi there, SaraLW.

 

The option to enter and apply a customer:job automatically to several items is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop. However, you may consider enabling the Automatically recall information feature in the preferences.

 

Let me show you how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Edit and choose Preferences.
  3. In the General tab, mark to select the Automatically recall last transaction for this name radio button.
  4. Click on OK once done.

From there, QuickBooks automatically fills out the form with information you entered in the last transaction when entering a bill.

Hello @SaraLW ,

  

  Another variant for you would be using an importing app, for instance Business Importer, in case that is an option for you. So if you have all the data in the excel or csv files, you can make bulk import of your billable bills.
