customer payments

Quickbooks app updated and now when we create an invoice we have to toggle each payment type on before we send it to the customer. Is there a way to make this permanently on?

customer payments

Payment methods on customer invoices can be set up as a default setting in your online account, question1231. Let me provide detailed input on this matter.

With QuickBooks, the program currently offers a payment method logic. The logic is that payment method options saved on the current invoice, will remain the same on the invoice created as this remembers the last saved preference.

To ensure invoice payments are set up accurately on your account's settings, I recommend opening your QuickBooks Online account in a web browser available on your mobile device. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to Settings and select Accounts and Settings.
  3. From the Sales tab, click Edit under the Invoice Payments section.
  4. Make sure all payment options are enabled from this setting.
  5. Review all details and click Save. Then, Done.

However, if the payment settings were already enabled and the same thing happens on the next invoicing, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app to start fresh. To do this:

  1. Tap and hold QuickBooks Online on your phone.
  2. Drag the app to the Uninstall section.
  3. Select Yes to confirm.

I'm also sharing this reference for more insights: Receive and process payments in QuickBooks Online with QuickBooks Payments.

Once everything looks good, you may want to track and enter customer-paid invoices and run specific reports to help review your business finances.
