I am quite pedantic about the invoice design. It is often the only time our customers see anything with our branding, so it needs to be perfect. We use the "Airy New" template. We have selected Helvetica 10pt. However it seems the font type/size/spacing is weirdly inconsistent (see image). The company details appear smaller and with too much space.
I would also like to make the logo even larger, but that is the max size.
Let me help share information about how the invoice template works after customizing it.
To start with, I've tried customizing the invoice template base on your instructions with our test account and it turned out that the company details are smaller. You're right and I'm assuming the template you've chosen is working by design.
That being said, can we consider choosing other templates for your customer's invoice. Say Airy Classic, with the same font style, Helvetica, and make the font size to 12 pt. You can take a look at the screenshot below for your visual reference.
Thank you for your time and effort to answer my query. However the answer is very unsatisfactory.
You are saying the template is working as it was designed. In that case the QBs team needs to employ some new designers, because all the invoices look terrible. I have chosen the "least ugly" of all the offerings.
I am moving to QB from the free Wave accounting product. Your team should go to Wave and take a look at what a beautiful invoice template can look like.
