Desktop - adding credit card payment does nothing

I am attempting to add credit card processing within 2019 Quickbooks desktop won't do anything.   I have checked in the "Add Services" option as well as Customer menu = Add credit cards.

I'd like to add it but no menus change or popup for me.  I've restarted it and still have the same result.

You've come to the right support, @IQ Automation.

You can sign up directly on the QuickBooks Payments website so you can process your credit card payments. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/payments/.

You can also sign up by phone, just get the number at this link here: Sign up for QuickBooks Payments (scroll down to "Sign up by phone" section)

After signing up, follow these steps to process payments in QuickBooks Desktop.

  1. Go to Edit and then Preferences.
  2. Select Payments and then the Company Preferences tab.
  3. In the Online Payments section, select the payment methods you want to make available to all customers. Then, OK.
  4. Click Apply to existing customers.

Then, set up to send an online invoice. Here's how:

  1. Go to Customers and then Create Invoices.
  2. Select the customer from the Customer: Job drop-down. Make sure there's an email address in the Email field.
  3. Next to Your customer can pay online using, review the online payment options available.
  4. Add the products and services you need to sell and fill out the rest of the invoice.
  5. Tick the Main tab at the top of the invoice form. Then, the Email drop-down, and select Invoice.
  6. Click Send.

You can learn more about processing payments at this link here: Receive and process payments in QuickBooks Desktop.

We also have a guide on how to process e-checks or scan check payments in QBDT that I'm sure you'll find helpful. It has detailed steps that'll show you how to get customer payments into your bank account and record both types of checks on your chart of accounts.

That's all there is to it. Fill me in if you have other questions or concerns. I'll be around to assist you every step of the way. Thanks for visiting us today and have a wonderful weekend ahead.
