Do you want to mark Invoice as printed?

After we sell a roofing project and I add it to QB over from our CRM, I apply payment and print invoice then this come up: "Do you want to mark Invoice as printed?" And you have to click either yes or no.   How can I shut this off??  It is just another step that I don't need.

I've got the point of what you're trying to share with us. I see that the Do you want to mark invoice as printed? pop-up is not that important on your part. This pop-up question is considered as one of the vital prompts of the system. With that, QuickBooks doesn't have an option to disable it.

Do you want to mark Invoice as printed?

Let me give you some insights about printing invoices, @barbatrapid.

 

Once you mark the invoice as Print later, the message will automatically show after you print this transaction at a later time. This is to determine that you already printed the invoice from the To be Printed Invoice list.

 

Additionally, you can print these invoices by batch. You can filter your sales list to view the unprinted invoices only.

 

Here's how: 

  1. Go to Sales.
  2. Select the All Sales tab.
  3. Click the Filter drop-down menu.
  4. Select Invoices from the Type drop-down menu.
  5. From the Delivery method drop-down menu, select Print later, then Apply.
  6. Select the checkboxes for the transactions you want to print. To mark them all, select the checkbox at the top of the list.
  7. Click the Print icon.
  8. Select Print.

 

Then, you can run the Invoice List report to show all invoices for a specific period. You can add the Sales Printed column to identify if you already printed them or not. I'll show you how.

 

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. In the Find report by name field, type in "Invoice List."
  3. Click on the Customize button.
  4. Modify the reporting period.
  5. In the Rows/Columns section, click Change columns.
  6. Select Sales Printed.
  7. Click Run report.

No, that is not what I was saying.

1 Customer pays

2 I print invoice

2 It says "Do you want to mark invoice as printed?"  YES OR NO

 

Well I want to shut that option off, I don't want that step.  It doesn't matter if invoice was marked as printed to me!!  Does anyone get my question?  LOL  I just want that pop up question removed.

I see how good it is to be part of the update. However, I cannot tell if removing the said pop-up will be included in the update soon. You may consider checking our blog website from time to time.
