Does anybody have experience with handling of Paypal Fees for refunded PayPal payments? Should be treated as deposits but are treated like payments, which is not correct

e.g. I refunded 29.90 to a client. Got 1.32 PayPal fee back, but these 1.32 are booked as an expense not as a deposit. How can I change this and make sure it doesn't happen again?

You can make a deposit to offset the fee, marcusk.

Changing the expense transaction to a deposit is unavailable. You'll have to create a deposit manually.

You might want to check out this article under "What do each of the mapping screen drop downs mean" to see how PayPal transactions appear in QuickBooks: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/Modify-settings-for-Sync-with-PayPal/m-p/18578....
