Editable Cost per invoice without affecting other invoice cost price.

Say we have a  product line we use for "shipping" we do 3 invoices and use that same product but we have 3 different costs how can we set it up so we can update the cost per invoice without throwing out other invoices with the same product "Shipping"

If we set up "Shipping" as a cost of $20 and then sell something and use that same "Shipping" and the cost to ship is $30 it will show a profit of $10 and a cost of $20.

Cheers

What type of item are you using?

Either change the shipping cost per invoice manually

or

set up three shipping items, each with its own rate.

There is pre-paid shipping, the amount you charge the customer at the sale, that is income.

then there is shipping expense when you actually pay the shipping

If we change the shipping cost per invoice it will change the cost of other invoices that have used that same "Shipping" product?

We don't make money off shipping we do it at cost and we don't have a flat rate due to the variety of items and sizes so that makes it difficult.

I know that MYOB used to have a product line that on the invoice page you could set the cost and sell price for that line and only for that invoice.

Thanks for the clarification, @GuyT.

Manually changing the shipping cost per invoice will not change the cost of other invoices that has the same shipping product. As long as the item is a non-inventory type, you'll be able to make adjustments from the invoice.
