Entering PO#s on a credit card charge

I have generated invoices fora customer and they are requesting have the PO# actually shown on the credit card transaction/charge. Not on the receipt but the actual charge. Am i able to enter this information on the actual charge? It changes with every transaction.

Re: Entering PO#s on a credit card charge

We're unable to enter the PO number on a credit card charge, MJ14. You can only add it manually on the invoice. I can show you how.

First, you'll have to add a custom field to invoices

Then, here's how to add the PO number in the custom field:

  1. Click the Plus sign (+) icon.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. Enter the PO number in the custom field.

This is how it'll look like:

Your customer will see the PO number when you email the sales form to them.

I can see how it would be handy to have this information on the credit card charge. I'll surely pass this along to our management team. They'll help us submit this to our software engineers for assessment.

Re: Entering PO#s on a credit card charge

Hello @JasonHicks,

Welcome to our forums!  I’ll be happy to share some insights about this topic.

We currently don't have an option to assign custom fields to expenses and checks created for credit card charges. As a workaround, you can use the Description field found on the line items of your expenditures.

Please see screenshot below:

Having the ability to assign invoice numbers or custom fields to expense transactions is a great idea to add in our program. I'm personally forwarding this preference to our Development Team for review. They determine which features and functions will be added next. They are constantly working to meet our customer's needs and are taking note of every feedback we forward to them.
