GoPayment Card Reader receipt email

Is it possible to receive a copy of the receipt that my card reader send to the client and to customize it if needed? I do that with my regular receipts but have not found a way to do so with those originated by the card reader. I have no clue what is the format of what I send to my clients when I hit the "send email" button.

Thanks,

Daniela

I understand that you want to receive a copy of the receipt through the GoPayment app, damo267.

The option to create a copy when emailing receipts is no longer available. Your other option is to print receipts after an in-person transaction.

I'm adding this link as a guide: Learn how to print receipts when you use GoPayment. It includes connecting a printer and how to fix it if it won't detect the device.

Don't hesitate to post again if there's anything else I can help you with getting a copy of the email you've sent to your customers. I'm always right here to provide the information that you need.

Thanks for posting, @damo267.

I'll share some information about printing receipts. While we're unable to customize a card reader's receipt, you'll want to log in to the Merchant Service Center to get a digital copy of the receipt.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to Merchant Service Center.
  2. Hover towards the Activity & Reports menu, and then select Transactions.
  3. Use the search filters to locate the transaction.
  4. Tap the Gear icon towards the right side of the record.
  5. Click Print Receipt or email it from there.

Additionally, you can contact our Payment Support to know more about how QuickBooks Payment works. Use this link to reach out: Contact Payments.

I've also added this link to get answers to common questions about the QuickBooks card reader. Feel free to browse: Other common questions about the QuickBooks card reader.

Please know that you're always welcome to swing by if you have other questions or concerns with card reader receipts. I'll be here for you. Take care and have a nice day ahead.

This was very helpful, thank you! Do you happen to know if there is a way to set a copy of the receipt to be emailed to me as well by default?

Thanks,

Daniela

I appreciate you for getting back to us, Daniela.

Yes, you can send a copy of the receipt through email.

Once you process the sale, GoPayment provides three receipt options. You can either select  print receipt, no receipt, and text or email. I've added this screenshot as your visual guide when emailing receipt:

Feel fee to check this reference for more information on which payment methods work with the QuickBooks Payments reader: Process payments with the QuickBooks Card Reader.

There you have it, Daniela. Let me know if there's anything that I can help with. Keep safe!

Hi Adrian,

Thank you for your response. I probably did not explain myself well, though, as that does not answer my question. I was wondering if it was able to set a default copy to be CCd to me when I send the copy to the client, which I do at the end of all transactions. I do that with my regular receipts, I just cannot figure out how to do that with the card reader.

Thanks,

Daniela
