having trouble renewing my payroll subscription

Welcome back to payroll, @RP60.

I'm here to help you reactivate your payroll subscription in QuickBooks Desktop. So you're able to pay your employees as soon as possible.

First and foremost, make sure that your QuickBooks file and the tax table version is updated. That way, you're able to reactivate the subscription. You may refer to these articles below.

Once done, you can follow the steps below on how to accomplish this.

  1.  Go to the Employees menu and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Choose Account/Billing Info.
  3. Sign in using your Intuit Account login
  4. Hit Resubscribe under Status
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to reactivate your payroll service.

Please note that it may take up to 24hrs for the reactivation of your subscription to fully complete. For more information, check out this article: Reactivate your QuickBooks Payroll subscription.

You can always track your billing history by signing in to camps.intuit.com. Then hit View your transaction history and choose a specific Time period in the drop-down.

I've also added articles about updating payment info, email, payment method, and other related topics.

Let me know if you're able to go through the process. I'll be right here to help you if you have any other payroll concerns. Keep safe!

We can perform some basic troubleshooting to get you back on track, @DA.

Since the status says active, you’ll just need to refresh your payroll by re-validating the service key. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Employees>My Payroll Service> Manage Service Key.
  2. In the QuickBooks Service Keys window, click Edit at the bottom.
  3. Take note of the service key and select Add.
  4. Enter the service key you’ve noted o the service key field.
  5. Select Next and then Finish.
  6. When the Payroll Update message appears, select OK.
  7. Verify the Service Status shows Active and then select OK.

For more information kindly open this article: Get started with QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Also, please proceed with making sure the software is up-to-date. For the detailed instructions, check the articles I'm attaching below:
