How do i take a client's credit card info over the phone and enter the payment into my quickbooks?

I'm glad to guide you on how to take and add your client's credit card information to their profile, then process credit card payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO). First, you need to gather the details from your customer, then input them to QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open your QBO account, then go to Sales at the left pane.
  2. Click the Customers tab, then locate and select your customer.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. In the Customer Information window, go to the Payments and billing section.
  5. Select Credit Card from the Preferred payment method drop-down menu.
  6. Enter the needed information and click Save when done.

To enter the payment, choose the Receive Payment button from the New (+icon, fill in the necessary details and pick the Credit card as a payment method.
