We are considering using a QuickBooks license purchased from techsoup.org to cut down our monthly church expenses. How can we tell if we can successfully move to QuickBooks Online Plus without losing data.

QBO currently doesn't have the option to extend an existing subscription using a QuickBooks Online version purchased through retail stores, e-tailers, or third-party vendors. Activating a retail version while you have an existing QBO subscription will create a new account without your current data. To answer your second question, you can verify the QBO version that you're currently using by going to the Billing and Subscription on your company settings. Here's how:
1. Click the Gear icon at the top, then pick Account and Settings under Your Company. 2. Select Billing & Subscription on the left pane. 3. On the QuickBooks section, you'll see your QBO version on beside Plan details.
