How to edit payment instructions on Pay Invoice Screen for when invoices are sent

Hello. We recently are trying to begin invoicing via QuickBooks Online. we have added QuickBooks payment and tried to make a test invoice that would allow for remittance of payment via bank transfer. We were hoping to see if someone knows how to edit the payment instructions at the pay now invoice screen? We have been unable to edit and not sure what other way we can to edit payment instructions when customers click the pay now on their invoice.

Thanks for coming back and bringing this one to our attention, LWD2 and Waynel.

 

The option to edit or customize the payment instructions of QuickBooks Payments is unavailable. What we can do is customize the invoices before sending this one to your customers. Then they'll access their email, and select the Review and pay or Pay invoice button to open and pay for the invoice. They can pay their invoices online by credit card or with an ACH bank transfer depending on the invoice's settings.

 

As you mentioned LWD2, you were able to edit the instructions for that payment screen before. In this case, it would be best to contact our QuickBooks Payments Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and help you with this one.

Currently, we don't have an option to edit or customize the payment instructions of QuickBooks Payments. We'll let our development team know about this. They might consider for product updates.

When I initially signed up for it, i was able to edit the instructions for that payment screen and now I am unable to locate how to revise it? The issue is causing my invoice comments when creating an invoice to default only to those instructions versus additional comments that we may write on the invoice template. Is there someone I can reach out via phone to resolve this?

That might be one of the dumber features you all have left out. Payment instructions change. Why the heck wouldn't I be able to update that? Get it together

Why can't I do this? This might be one of the most idiotic (lack of) features you have. I'm not accepting checks anymore and it should be a simple edit. Get it together.

How come on I'm not able to edit the anything on the invoice? is it because I turned on progress invoicing? It only allows me to select percent or amount of already pre-selected amount that was carried over from the estimate.

I happened to stumble upon this when I wanted to update this information today and it was nowhere to be found. There used to be a place to modify this (where I cannot remember)… Why would Intuit remove the option to change this?
