Let me provide options about adding signature to sales forms in QuikBooks Online.

 

Quickbooks Online allows you to utilize the Message field of the sales form template so you can add a signature manually. Please see the screenshot attached for your reference:

 

You can also add the message to your invoice template, so it will automatically appear every time you create invoices.

  1. On an Invoice page, click Customize at the bottom.
  2. Select Edit current to customized the checked template.
  3. Click the Content bar and click the lowest section of the previewed invoice on the right side.
  4. Enter Received by: in the message box. 

If you'd like to remove the signature option, you can always eliminate the customization that you made from this area.

However, if you're referring to adding a digital signature on your receipt so it can be included upon emailing it, you might consider checking out for a third-party application. This way, you'll be able to choose an app that integrates with QBO and supports adding a signature on sales forms digitally.

I understand that you want to remove the signature line on the receipt. Let me show you how to do it.

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Custom form styles.
  2. Locate the invoice or sales receipt template you're using and click Edit.
  3. From the Content tab, select the footer section (lowest part) of the preview. 
  4. In the Message to customer on or Add footer text field, delete the message or the signature line.
  5. Click Done to save it.

Additionally, if what you're referring to is the receipt when you record invoice payment, we're unable to remove it. It defaults to make sure that your client acknowledges the payment.

This did not help.

The signature line appears when I apply a payment to an invoice and send it to the customer.

The signature line does not show on the invoice template.

I cannot find how to prepare a template for this, nor for the email accompanying it, which I have to edit for each customer, each month!

It is not a sales receipt or an invoice, for which a template is offered.
