Did you encounter any error message?

 

I've checked our records and haven't seen any open cases about Hang Seng bank. No worries, we'll try to do some steps to fix your bank issue.

 

First, let's run a manual update on your financial institution. Here's how:

  1. Click Banking, then choose Banking.
  2. Click the Update button. 

You'll be notified once the update is completed. 

 

Next, check if you can log in to your bank's website.

 

Lastly, check if you bank doesn't require any actions or changes. Check for any messages or alerts from your bank which indicates that something isn't working on their end.

We have been having issues with connecting to our Bank of America account for several months now. This back-and-forth of constantly having to talk to QB support is ridiculous. I have tried many times to go through the Banking - Banking - Update steps, and every time the B of A popup says the credentials are incorrect, even though they are the same credentials we use to log in to the B of A website. This used to work just fine, and obviously Quickbooks broke it. When will this be fixed? It is extremely frustrating.

I've checked and verified that we have received reports with other users getting the same performance connecting to Bank of America account. We already submitted a ticket about this issue and our banking team are currently working with your bank to sort everything out.

 

As of now, I suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support Team to add you to the lists of affected users. Once added, you'll automatically receive an email notification for the latest updates. For the support's contact information:

  1. Go to: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online.
  3. On the Contact Us page, click a topic.
  4. Click on the Get Phone Number button to see the support number.

This issue appears to have been fixed, on the Chase side. I have (finally!!!) both successfully synced (QB Online) and uploaded (QB Desktop via QBO) data into Quickbooks recently. May have to remove and then re-setup Chase feed in QB Online.

Have you tried consulting your bank, SNWICK14?

 

They might be undergoing some server maintenance with the data transfer between QuickBooks and the bank's website.

 

I'd still suggest consulting our Customer Care Support to get this escalated. Go to Help (?), and then click Contact us to get our number.

 

In the meantime, you'll want to upload your bank manually through WebConnect. You can refer to this article for the step-by-step instructions: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.

I am having issues with our BOA credit card accounts not updating properly (the same transactions uploading to multiple cards, new transactions not loading at all, transactions being brought in twice).  It's a complete wreck.

 

I have called the QB online customer care phone line 2x.  I'm told the engineers are working on it and that when they have a solution, I will be emailed.  It's been over a week, I haven't received an email.  I asked them what was a reasonable timeframe to expect results.  I was not given an answer.  

 

I am completely frustrated.

 

I did try 2 things:

1.  Delete transactions from the bank "review" screen.  Apparently you can't do that. I was told I would have to add the INCORRECT transactions to the credit card register and then delete them there.  WHAT?!

2.  I also tried to manually download credit card transactions from BOA then import them into QB online.  That didn't work either, transactions were duplicating.

 

BOO QB Online!  I am super disappointed with this.

I have been having this issue off and on for more than a Month now. "They are working on it, you'll be put on an email list" etc.. Keep getting the same messages and connection errors after reconnecting with the bank and entering all the required passwords. Hope this is remedied soon. Quickbooks costs too much to be this unreliable.

May I know what bank account are you having trouble with? That’ll surely help us check any updates about the issue.  

 

For the meantime, you can manually upload those bank transactions to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account while we are still working with the bank connection error.

You came to the right place to re-sync your bank account. To reconnect your bank account you can update the sign-in information. What this does, is if your bank had any updates it will update with QuickBooks. I’m going to provide a few simple steps to get you back to business:

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Click Banking tab
  2. Choose the account and select the pencil.
  3. Edit Sign-In info.

I’m having problems connecting to my bank too! It’s an absolute nightmare, I feel like I’m paying for quick books yet it’s impossible to use because this keeps happening!

May I know what financial institution are you using? What specific error message are you getting within the app?

 

There are a few reasons why you're getting banking errors in QuickBooks Online. Consider this:

  • The bank recently made some changes with their security feature or connection.
  • Log in credentials set up in QBO doesn't match with the online banking log in.
  • QuickBooks Online is unable to connect to your bank's website.

If the account is already connected, let's try refreshing your bank connection in the web browser. Follow the steps below if you recently made any changes to your bank login:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Find the account that generated Error 103.
  3. Click on the pencil icon.
  4. Hit the Edit sign-in info.
  5. Input your log in credentials, then click Update.

Also, updating your account manually can help resolve common banking issues. Perform the steps below:

 

  1. From the left toolbar, select the Banking menu and tap the Banking tab.
  2. Click to highlight the account you're updating, then hit the Update button.

For first time connection, refresh the connection by performing the steps below:

 

 

  1. Go to Banking from the left menu and choose the Banking tab.
  2. From there, click the Add Account button.
  3. Enter your financial institution’s URL or name on the search box and see the results.
  4. Select the bank and click Continue
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your bank account.

If it resolves the issue in the web, refresh the app to download updates or apply recent changes on the application.

If refreshing the app doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to resolve unexpected behavior on mobile devices, and ensure updated security settings are downloaded.

If you keep getting the same problem consecutively within 72 hours, I highly recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Care Team. They can check if there are similar reports from other users and help open an investigation on this unexpected behavior. Here's how you can get our contact information:

 

  1. Click the (?) Help menu at the top right section of your QBO Dashboard.
  2. Tap the Contact us button.
