You can disable the default payment methods when creating invoices by adjusting them in your Account and Settings, Beth. I'm here to help walk you through the process.
Once these options are disabled, you'll no longer be able to process credit card payments for invoices. Here's how to do it:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Account and Settings.
- Choose the Sales menu.
- Navigate to the Invoice Payments section and disable the Accept Credit Cards and Accept ACH options.
- Click Save, then select Done.

You'll also have the option to inactive the credit card payment through the Payment Methods page. In the credit card section, select the Make Inactive under the Actions column.

If you want to permanently remove the credit card option from your payment methods, you can do so by navigating to the Payments page within your account settings Please note that this process is only applicable once your payment account is connected to QuickBooks.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Under Your Company, select Account and Settings.
- Go to the Payments menu.
- In the Payment Methods section, select and remove the credit card option.
