Thanks for checking in with us. I'm here to discuss and share how processing credit card payments works in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Payments that were processed before the account was connected will not go through. You must connect your Payments account to QBO before processing a payment.
Since you've already processed a credit card payment in QuickBooks, you can delete and process a new one. To delete, locate the transaction, click More and choose Delete.
