If this is your first customer payment, deposits may take up to five business days while your merchant account is set up. Once complete, future payments typically process within two business days.
If this isn’t your first payment or the hold exceeds the expected timeframe, check the payment status in the Merchant Service Center.
Here's how:
- Log in to the Merchant Service Center page using your QuickBooks Payments account credentials.
- From the top menu, select Activity & Reports and click on Deposits.
- Use the Dates field to find the customer payment.
- Check the Method column to view the payment status.
You can also use the QuickBooks Digital Assistant with prompts like "Check payment status" or "Where is my money?" for immediate updates.
Funds may placed on hold by our Risk Management team to review transactions and protect against fraud, ensuring payment system security.
Our Payments team will notify you via email about any payment issues, using the email you provided during your QuickBooks Payments sign-up. If you don’t receive any messages, please check your email settings and spam folder.
