Your merchant account won't get cut if you choose to cancel your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Aside from canceling, you may also consider purging your QBO to clean slate. I'd be glad to discuss this in detail and guide you in getting things done.

I originally subscribed in May 2022 and migrated my Desktop data to online Essentials. I mistakenly then continued to make new entries only on the Desktop QB. Since it has been over 60 days, I have been told I cannot migrated May-Dec data to Online.
So can I have canceled the subscription. Can I then subscribe again and migrate all data to online?
You can cancel the old account and signup for a new one with the same email address. Then you can convert your QB Desktop file again to the new account.
