I've got some steps we can perform to match the deposit from your invoice payment, fournie.
I appreciate you for performing some troubleshooting steps to match the downloaded transactions into the existing one. When receiving a bank deposit, we need to link them to an invoice. This ensures accurate records and helps avoid errors when reconciling your accounts.
To link a deposit to an invoice, let's make sure we meet the following criteria below:
- There's an invoice for the customer.
- Payment hasn't been entered and linked to the invoice.
- The payment was entered through Bank Deposit instead of Receive Payment.
Since you already created payment to an invoice, let's delete it in your account. We can't link a deposit if the invoice is marked as paid.
Here's how:
- Go to Sales on the left side menu.
- Select the Invoices tab.
- Locate the invoice of your customer.
- Click the 1 payment made link and the date link to open the invoice payment page.
- Tap More.
- Choose Delete to remove the payment.
Once done, let's locate and edit the deposit in your register. Then, apply it as an invoice payment. Just follow the steps and details in this article: How to link a deposit to an invoice.
